Opening of the events of conference of Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence at Ain Shams University with the participation of 16 countries

Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, His Eminence Bishop Jeremiah, Archbishop of the Church of Orthodox, and President of the Coptic Cultural Center, the first international conference for the community service and environmental development sector entitled "Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence". Prof. Dr. Zahi Hawass and Prof. Mamdouh Damati, Former Minister of Antiquities and Prof. Nazmi Abdul Hamid and Prof. Fathi al-Sharqawi, Vice-President of the University and a number of deans and agents of colleges and representatives of foreign countries participating in the conference.

During his opening speech, Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of the Conference saidf that Ain Shams University is keen to support the ideas and good initiatives, including the idea of launching this conference in light of what is happening in Egypt recently. He stressed that Egypt is a melting pot which has multiple elements as the heart of the ancient world that mediates the continents of Africa, Asia and Europe.

The concept of pluralism was a comprehensive concept that accommodated pluralism in ideas, nationalities, languages and forms. The words of Allaah "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds," did not come except for the wisdom that God wanted to unite between different worlds without discrimination.
